How PageQ Messages are Received
PageQ alerts can be sent to firefighters by text message and by phone call. How messages are received can be set for each firefighter in their member profile.
Alerts Received by Text
PageQ captures and records the exact message heard over the pagers. Firefighters receive a text message with a link to an audio recording of the original page that can be heard as often as needed.

Alerts Received by Phone Call
Firefighters who are set up to receive a phone call will hear a recording of the original page. They can use the numbers on their keypad to respond directly to the phone call.
Ensuring firefighters are set up to receive a phone call ensures you have one more channel of communication for alerting a firefighter about an emergency. Phone calls also have a higher delivery success rate.

PageQ alerts do not contain mapping information but incidents that are generated by a PageQ alert can be updated by a firefighter from the app to provide mapping information.
